100 Days: How I Built an Abandoned Swimming Pool and Tunnel Underground House with Waterslide Park
Transforming an abandoned swimming pool and an empty plot of land into a stunning underground house with a waterslide park was no small feat. Over the course of 100 days, I embarked on a challenging yet rewarding project that pushed my creativity and problem-solving skills to new heights. Here’s how I turned my vision into reality.
Day 1-10: Planning and Design
The first step was to map out my plan. I wanted to build an underground house, utilizing the structure of the abandoned swimming pool as a base. The design included a multi-level home, connecting rooms with tunnels, and a vibrant waterslide park on the surface. I spent the first ten days creating detailed blueprints and gathering materials.
Day 11-30: Excavation and Foundation
The next phase involved digging and excavating the area. The abandoned pool was filled with debris and neglect, so I began by removing the old tiles and cleaning up the space. Then, I focused on reinforcing the foundation, ensuring that the underground structure would be stable and safe. The process was labor-intensive, but I made steady progress.
Day 31-60: Construction of the Underground House
With the foundation in place, I started building the walls, installing plumbing, and reinforcing the tunnels. Each room of the underground house was designed with natural light in mind, featuring large glass panels and skylights to bring in sunlight from above. The highlight of the house was the open-concept living room that overlooked the waterslide park.
Day 61-90: Building the Waterslide Park
Creating the waterslide park on top of the underground house was a true challenge. I carefully designed the slides to wind around the existing pool structure, adding features like bridges, water fountains, and waterfalls for extra fun. I also installed an elevated viewing deck for guests to watch the action.
Day 91-100: Finishing Touches and Landscaping
The final phase involved landscaping the area surrounding the pool and waterslide park. I planted lush greenery, set up seating areas, and added decorative features to enhance the overall aesthetic. With everything complete, I could finally enjoy the fruits of my labor—a one-of-a-kind home and waterslide park built from the ground up.
